This example is a Loewe Opta Fonovox stereo console spotted at an estate sale by Reddit user u/MartySpiderManMcFly. Beneath its wood panels sits a tube radio and multi-record player, with the wide grille across the lower front concealing the speakers. Two wood sections span the cabinet, each fitted with a dark sculpted handle. Thin tapered legs raise the long case from the floor, while the speaker grille becomes part of the furniture design. Wood grain also gets much more attention than the technology. Large patterned veneers cover the front panels, while rounded edges and slim trim frame the case.
