I arrived at the Fontainebleau Las Vegas on a Friday afternoon, with just 48 hours in the city ahead of me. The hotel's gleaming blue exterior reflected the desert sun, while inside, the energy felt distinctly different from a typical weekend on the strip. This was fight weekend. Athletes, trainers, media, and fans moved through the property with purpose as anticipation for the event ahead filled the air. Everywhere I turned, conversations centered on the matchup to come, and the excitement surrounding the weekend seemed to reverberate through the hotel itself. There are few cities that understand spectacle better than Las Vegas. On a major fight weekend, the entire city operates as a giant stage set with athletes moving through casino floors like celebrities, and every hotel lobby feels like a front row. By the time Conor Benn and Ryan Garcia arrived for one of the year's biggest nights in boxing, Vegas was already doing what Vegas does best — turning sport into culture. That intersection has always been familiar territory for Off-White™.Long before athletes became fashion's most valuable ambassadors, Virgil Abloh understood the power of using sport as a storytelling platform. Some of Off-White™ most memorable moments have happened alongside athletes, whether it was Serena Williams stepping onto the court at the 2018 US Open in the now-iconic Nike x Virgil Abloh "Queen" collection or the brand's wider work across football, basketball, and global sporting culture. Those projects weren't memorable because of logos or product drops. They resonated because they treated athletes as cultural figures whose influence extended far beyond competition. That's the lens through which the brand's latest collaboration with Everlast makes the most sense. For Benn's showdown with Garcia, Off-White™ partnered with the legendary boxing brand to create a custom fight-night kit that felt every bit as considered as a runway look. Developed alongside luxury fightwear specialists Bespoke Boxing, the project transformed one of boxing's biggest stages into a canvas for storytelling. The creative direction centered around Benn's role as the challenger. Nicknamed "The Destroyer," Benn was imagined as a Dark Knight entering the King's territory, a nod to Garcia's long-standing "King" persona. Drawing from the chess concept of a smothered mate, where a knight corners a king with nowhere left to move, the visual narrative gave the fight an added layer of mythology before either fighter even reached the ring. For Benn, however, the concept wasn't simply an aesthetic exercise. The visual identity became part of his preparation. "Fight night is more than one night — the preparation is often where fights can be won or lost," he explains. "The overall look and feel of 'The Dark Knight' was how I knew I would have to approach this fight, and that tone carried through the whole design process." The collaboration also became an opportunity for reflection. Beneath the armour-like visuals and dramatic storytelling were personal references woven throughout the design. "You will see woven throughout the design a consistent nod to my family, my wife, my children — the purpose for it all," Benn says. In a sport built on individual performance, the details served as reminders of what drives him beyond the spotlight. And that's really what Off-White™ has always done best. The timing also feels particularly relevant. Boxing is in the middle of another cultural resurgence, attracting the kind of attention that naturally spills into fashion, music, and entertainment. Walkouts are scrutinized like red carpets. Fight-week fits generate their own headlines. The visual language surrounding the sport matters more than ever.Every detail of Benn's fight-night look reflected that mindset. "Every detail was considered and with meaning, a reflection of how every element of my camps is approached," he says. His longstanding relationship with Everlast added another layer of significance to the project. "To be able to work with Everlast so closely on such a meaningful design, a partnership which has withstood the test of time, is priceless."For a fighter, clothing can become part of the ritual. Benn describes pulling on the robe before walking to the ring as more than simply getting dressed. "You pull on the robe in the dressing room ready to go to war, and it's a reminder of the standards you set yourself and the team behind you."Everlast, meanwhile, remains one of the few names in boxing that carries genuine authority across generations. The brand's history is woven into the sport itself, having outfitted everyone from Muhammad Ali to Mike Tyson. Bringing that legacy together with Off-White™ cultural perspective creates a collaboration that feels rooted in both heritage and contemporary relevance.Beyond Benn's custom pieces, the partnership extends into a capsule collection of graphic T-shirts and limited-edition training gloves. Unsurprisingly, Benn already has a favourite. "I have to say the Off-White™ c/o Everlast gloves — that's always going to be the piece for me," he says. "But the whole collection goes hard."His approach to styling the collection mirrors the confidence-first attitude that has defined both boxing and Off-White™ broader appeal. "Don't overthink it, it's about confidence," Benn says. "I'd keep everything else pretty clean and let the Off-White™ c/o Everlast piece be the statement. Let the piece do the talking."As the weekend unfolded around the Fontainebleau, with a shoppable window display at the iconic The Webster with pieces from the limited edition collection, it became clear why collaborations like this continue to resonate. Whether it was athletes crossing the casino floor, fans gathering for weigh-ins, or fighters preparing backstage, fashion wasn't operating separately from the sport, but helping tell the story.Whether it was Serena Williams walking onto Arthur Ashe Stadium in a tulle-trimmed dress designed by Virgil Abloh or Conor Benn making his entrance beneath the lights of Las Vegas, the underlying idea remains remarkably consistent. Sport has always been one of the most powerful forms of cultural expression, and Off-White™ has spent years finding new ways to tell those stories.Discover the limited edition collection here.
